This Christmas Takeda Ireland Ltd will again be supporting the Society of St. Vincent De Paul Giving Tree Appeal which aims to make Christmas a little more cheerful for underprivileged families.

Tetsuo Miwa,Ph.D. joined Takeda in 1985 and has held a number of leadership roles in Takeda’s research organization, including Director of Discovery Research Center. More recently, Dr.Miwa belonged to Strategic Product Planning and was in charge of cross-franchise portfolio management and the Millennium acquisition and transition.

On 1 April 2009, Dr.Miwa was appointed General Manager, CMCCenter.
On 14 November 2012, Dr Miwa was appointed Senior Vice President of the Pharmaceutical Production Division.

On Friday 23rd November GC facilitated a school tour from the local Rathcoole Holy Family Community School. The group comprised students currently studying chemistry for the leaving certificate and was organized through the chemistry teacher and Graham Grogan.

The students were treated to the following:
A Presentation on Takeda and about TILGC
There was a Q&A with students
They then had a Site tour of PDDlaband P1.
Followed by Refreshments

Ron De Jongfrom Takeda California was onsite in Bray to give a brief presentation to members of the QA team on the Drug Research and Development activities at Takeda California.
